Hawaiian Diving Adventures
Hawaiian Diving Adventures is committed to promoting sustainability in the Oahu dive industry and preserving our amazing marine life and environment around our beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu. We have implemented a number crucial protocols to help reduce our impact.
BioDiesel Boat Fuel
Our dive boat is powered by BioDiesel fuel, and is the only boat on Oahu that uses an alternative fuel. Not only is this fuel cleaner, it is made from refined recycled cooking oil. You can read more about Kilikina, our BioDiesel Dive Boat.
The cleaning supplies we use on the boat and at the shop are biodegradable and nontoxic. We also avoid using paper towels, and instead use cloth towels whenever possible.
Reduced Trash & Recycling
We provide fresh pineapple and snacks that we purchase in bulk from Costco which reduces the trash we produce. We also provide a complimentary cold drinking water, both on our boat and in our shop so you can refill your durable reusable water bottles and minimize single-use plastic water bottle use. Cans and bottles, cardboard as well as other materials, are recycled whenever possible.
Online Learning Options
While most scuba diving certification agencies still publish training manuals, books, and a wide variety of printed materials, we encourage our students to take advantage of our online training options. The course materials are delivered through an e-learning platform that gives our dive students lifetime access to the latest, updated learning materials.
