Computer Diving

Hawaiian Diving Adventures

Because of computer diving, divers rarely use dive tables anymore. But do you know what your computer is telling you? What are those flashing lights or beeping alarms? What does the big number mean? The computer is a calculator with a depth sensor, but it is up to the diver to be the brains and know how to use it properly. We’ll introduce you to your dive computer and teach you how it helps you dive safely:

  • explore a wide range of dive computers, their development, and how to use them underwater
  • decompression theory and how that relates to the displays on the computer
  • Nitrox settings and different decompression algorithms
  • what to do if your dive computer battery fails

2 Dives – $225
* Gratuity for the captain and crew is voluntary, but if you have a great time on your dives, it is customary to tip 10-20%.

All of our teaching staff are active instructors with at least two of the three scuba diving certification agencies. Hawaiian Diving Adventures predominantly offer SSI specialty courses and certifications, however, we also have active PADI and NAUI dive instructors on staff that can help you complete your dive specialty course with those diver certifying agencies. Prices and requirements will vary by agency.

Courses must be booked over the phone: call now at 808-232-3193.
