Hawaiian Diving Adventures
Hawaiian Diving Adventures will always promote sustainability in the Oahu dive industry. We commit to preserving our amazing marine life and environment around our beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu. We implement a number of crucial protocols to help reduce our impact.
BioDiesel Dive Boat
Our dive boat is powered by BioDiesel fuel and is the only boat on Oahu using alternative fuel. Not only is this fuel cleaner, but it is also made from refined recycled cooking oil. Read more about Kilikina, our BioDiesel Dive Boat.
Reduced Trash & Recycling
We provide fresh pineapple and snacks that we purchase in bulk, reducing the trash we produce. We also provide complimentary cold drinking water, both on our boat and in our shop, so you can refill your durable reusable water bottles. Hawaiian Diving Adventures aims to minimize single-use plastic water bottle use. Whenever possible, we recycle cans, bottles, cardboard, and other materials.
Online Learning Options
Most scuba diving certification agencies still publish training manuals, books, and a wide variety of printed materials. We encourage our students to take advantage of our online training options. An e-learning platform delivers the course materials to our students, with lifetime access to the latest, most updated learning materials.
Biodegradable Cleaners
The cleaning supplies we use on the boat and at the shop are biodegradable and nontoxic. We also avoid using paper towels, and instead use cloth towels whenever possible.
Have an idea for us to be more environmentally friendly? We’d love to hear from you!
