Tasty Tasty Oxygen
When making deeper dives using air, many divers find that they reach their NDL (No Decompression Limit). You must end the dive with air left in the tank. Using oxygen-enriched air can help extend bottom time with an additional safety factor. The Nitrox diver specialty is one of the most useful and common scuba diver certifications and many liveaboard dive boats require it.
The academic portion of this course covers the physiology of Nitrox diving, the safety considerations and benefits of diving with nitrox, along with the important calculations of the best mix, dose, and maximum operating depth. Practical training teaches divers to properly analyze, notate, and log Nitrox dive cylinders. You will also learn how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40%. oxygen.
How It Works
The Enriched Air Nitrox course is academic. There is an online e-Learning component that needs to be done first. Then, we learn to analyze your cylinders, find your new no-decompression limits, and your maximum operating depth.
This course does not include diving, but can be added to any of our Daily fun Dives or other Courses
Enriched Air Nitrox Certification
Upon completion of all academic and open water requirements, your instructor will issue the Enriched Air Nitrox certification card.
These logged dives and certification will count to your next recognition rating of Advanced Open Water or Master Diver
