Special Considerations

  • The minimum age is 10 years old.
  • Must be Open Water certified

Artificial Reefs at Their Best

Wreck Diving: with so many incredible wrecks and artificial reefs all over the planet, this specialty course is a great way to learn about:

  • how to safely navigate above and around these underwater treasures
  • special dive planning considerations for the additional hazards these underwater structures can often present
  • many easy ways to ensure greater caution on your wreck dives

This is a perfect specialty to combine with our Enriched Air Nitrox course to extend your bottom time and increase your margin of safety.

How It Works

The e-Learning for this course introduces many of the concepts you need to safely dive shipwrecks anywhere in the world. We then apply those concepts on our wrecks here in Hawaii. Every shipwreck presents unique challenges and it is important to know how to apply these lessons.

Timeline

This course on our 7:45 Daily Wreck Dive. The first dive will be on one of our large shipwrecks to gain experience around the wreck. The second dive is about navigational skills, how to run lines, and keep from getting lost on the wreck.

Wreck Diving Certification

Upon completion of all academic and open water requirements, your instructor will issue the Wreck Diving certification card.

These logged dives and certification will count to your next recognition rating of Advanced Open Water or Master Diver

What To Bring

  • All you need is a swimsuit for the first day: all of the dive gear is included!
    •  If you bring a change of clothes for after class, there are beach showers and restrooms.
  • If you already own personal gear, like mask, snorkels, or fins, bring them. You’ll be more comfortable in your own gear.
  • You can bring a towel, sunglasses & maybe a hat for the boat trips (we have a dry storage area).
  • Bring your underwater camera & its waterproof casing to get the best shots!
  • We provide drinking water, fresh pineapple & snacks, but you can also bring your own.
